The Heels will make a trip to Texas this season where everything indeed is bigger.
The ACC has put together quite the schedule this season with some entertaining matchups. Games that you might wanna check out ncaa basketball betting picks for. One of the more interesting is not actually official as Clemson and UCLA might meet in the 76 Classic, but the ACC has the premier out-of-conference game of the season involving UNC and Kentucky which is listed below.
Top Ten ACC Games Out of Conference ‘09-’10
(All times are Eastern)
- 10) 01/03/10 – Xavier Musketeers @ Wake Forest Demon Deacons / FSN / 5:30 p.m.
This later season out of conference game would be a definite resume booster for the Deacs.
- 9) 12/02/09 – Illinois Illini @ Clemson Tigers (Big Ten/ACC Challenge) / ESPN / 7:15 p.m.
The Tigers went on the road and defeated the Illini last season–Bruce Weber’s Illinois team will be hoping to return the favor in Littlejohn.
- 8) 12/30/09 – South Carolina Gamecocks @ Boston College / ESPNU / 9:00 p.m.
Darrin Horn’s Gamecocks are led by an outstanding PG in Devan Downey so it will be tough for BC to defend the home-court.
- 7) 11/28/09 – Boston College Eagles @ Providence Friars / 7:00 p.m.
BC’s last stop in the countdown is with a team a closer to home and out of the Big East in Providence–the Friars always seem to have a solid team.
- 6) 11/24/09 – Florida State Seminoles @ Florida Gators / FSSO-NESN-SUN / 7:00 p.m.
FSU gets an early test facing the rival Gators on the road.
- 5) 12/02/09 – Florida State Seminoles @ Ohio State Buckeyes (Big Ten/ACC Challenge) / ESPN2 / 9:30 p.m.
FSU is on the road again here with the Big Ten/ACC that the conference has won every year it has existed–don’t let us down ‘Noles!
- 4) 12/02/09 Duke Blue Devils @ Wisconsin Badgers (Big Ten/ACC Challenge) / ESPN / 9:15 p.m.
It’s always interesting to see Duke go play on the road for a tough OOC matchup–because frankly–it doesn’t happen much.
- 3) 12/19/09 – Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. Duke Blue Devils (Madison Square Garden—NY, NY) / CBS / 4:00 p.m.
The Zags get their shot at the Blue Devils on a semi-neutral site in NY–could be a good win for either team before the NCAA Selection Committee.
- 2) 12/19/09 – North Carolina Tar Heels @ Texas Longhorns (Arlington, Texas) / ESPN / 2:00 p.m.
The Heels get to play on the big, big, big screen at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium against the home Longhorns in December–should be a good game(no word as to if 3 point shots have been hitting the screen or not).
- 1) 12/05/09 – North Carolina Tar Heels @ Kentucky Wildcats / CBS / 12:30 p.m.
UK’s Wall vs. UNC’s Drew, Cats’ Patterson vs. Heels’ Davis, Kentucky’s Meeks vs. Carolina’s Ginyard–the great matchups abound in what should be a great early season out of conference game. The Heels go to Rupp Arena as the defending champs, but the Wildcats are poised to be in that spot this year.
