Welcome to the Friday Fiesta Linkfest!

FSU hires a Stoops’ brother which is sure to help their BCS winning chances.

FTRS breaks down the Iowa playmakers.

Ok, so the Heisman committee finds a “natural breaking point” when they decide who goes to NY, but it appears that Spiller is not far behind Tebow at all–Spiller should be there.

Florida and Cincinatti are getting the booty(and not the UT hostess kind).

Rearrange the title to “is” instead of “still might be” and you have an accurate article  about Spiller from Fanhouse.

HD covers the juniors of the ACC that might be making the jump to the NFL.

NC State confident about Wilson coming back and not making the jump to MLB that another ACC QB in Kyle Parker might do also.

BC opening with juggernaut Weber State next year.

Terps’ b-ball feeling the heat of a tough start according to the Maryland Raycom blog.

Enjoy your weekend!

Great stuff on Spiller, B…what a POS on Spiller v. Tebow in NY…I said the same thing on my blog this morning…natural break my ass….Tebow’s there for one reason – eyeballs on the TV…it’s a cold, hard, business….

  2. B_Rink says:

@cuorange…no doubt. It really is unfortunate, but Spiller has one more game at Clemson then a fine career ahead of him in the NFL.

  3. CUOrange says:

Well, I nailed it being a closer race than predicted by SAT…but wrong on McCoy…surprised he got so much support when 3 of 4 Austin voters voted for someone else….and the one that voted for him gave it to him as a “career award”(rolling eyes)….

  4. B_Rink says:

@cuorange, yeah, I lost a lot of respect for the award, but it isn’t really the Heisman Trust’s fault as much as voters who don’t have a clue what to do with the vote. They probably should redefine clearly what the award is about and send a message to their voters.

  5. cuorange says:

absolutely…it’s the voters fault…the “career award” and “best player on the best team” is not the intent of the award (look at Paul Hornung for example, or even Ricky Williams for that matter).

On the other hand Gerhart and Suh got a lot of love for guys on teams with 4 losses. Hell, maybe 4 was the “clear break” and if Clemson had beaten GT C.J. would have been invited.
