ACC Game(s) 2 Watch This Week(5-2 record so far): (2) Maryland Terrapins at (8) Clemson Tigers, Sunday at 5:30.
OTB’s Prediction: Tigers 74 Terps 72
The Why: There is absolutely no logical reason to pick Clemson against the Terps–Maryland is playing so much better coming in and overall this season and we still have “?s” about whether the Tigers’ senior guard Stitt can come back and play well. But this game could very well determine whether the Tigers make to the NCAAs or not as every ACC home game is vital(especially at 3-4 in conference) and I think they pull it out somehow.

(2) Maryland Terrapins at (5) Florida State Seminoles, Thursday at 9.
OTB’s Prediction: Terps 71 Noles 65
The Why: FSU has talent, defense, and a multitude of scorers, but I question there ability to keep it going. Terps are road warriors and they will recover well coming off the Clemson game.

(9) North Carolina Tar Heels at the (6) Virginia Tech Hokies, Thursday at 7.
OTB’s Prediction: Hokies 74 Heels 71
The Why: If the Heels play Strickland significant minutes on the road, UNC might pull this one off, but the Hokies will be more than ready to take advantage of the Heels as Delaney is warming up. Really, this would not be an upset with how the season has unfolded so far so the Hokies should expect the win.

ACC Team 2 Rise This Week: Wake Forest Demon Deacons

ACC Team 2 Fall This Week: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

We’re getting hot on the picks now–which means go the other way most likely this week. Where do you see the ACC going this week? Any guesses on number of bids? Starting next week, I’ll be doing projecting into the NCAAs. Thanks for reading!
