Welcome to OTB’s ACC Power Poll! My ACC basketball power ranking here is less text, but packed with info you need for the coming week in ACC basketball as I have all the records, who’s on a roll, and my picks for the big games of the week…enjoy!
“OTB’s March Madness Stock Report” begins this week with each team as it simply is my NCAAs projection for each ACCer to the end of the regular season–with the ACC Tourney not figured in as there’s no way to know the matchups as of yet. The ACC Tournament could be big for a few teams that are on the bubble–and this season, could be 3-4 teams right on that bubble.

OTB’s Prediction: ‘Hoos 68 Deacs 66
The Why: Deacs dominated Virginia in Winston-Salem in their earlier matchup, but Virginia is coming in on a roll–Landesberg has a number of scorers now and they really need this one before a challenging end of the schedule.
(5) Florida State Seminoles at (8) Clemson Tigers, Wednesday at 7.
OTB’s Prediction: Tigers 69 Noles 64
The Why: Tigers are 10-2 at home while FSU is 3-4 on the road–two even teams with FSU maybe having the edge if Stitt plays no factor in this one. The ‘Noles are just to Jekyll/Hyde for me to put trust into a tough road win at Littlejohn Colieum.

OTB’s Prediction: Devils 78 Heels 71
The Why: Tar Heels are staring at loss number 5 at home this season as the Blue Devils are the superior team this season. The Blue Devils’ road woes could come into play here, but it’s a rivalry game and the Devils will be ready. Coach Williams’ move to bench Ginyard for Strickland did not come soon enough to turn this team around for this particular game–especially coming off of the long road trip to Maryland.

Last week we said we were hot–we are at five-alarm fire status this week after going 3-0 on the week on picks to get to 8-2 overall. Where do you see the ACC going this week? Tournament projections were tough, but the only really deserving team I left out was Virginia as they have a very low RPI/SOS. If it was up to me, I would put the ‘Hoos in the tournament, but they have to post double digit wins in the ACC and that is a daunting task with their schedule.
